Black Limestone is a popular choice, particularly in heavily planted gardens as the dark slabs offer a contrast to floral areas and turf. With a colour that start of jet black but will gently fade to a charcoal grey, it is very distinctive and will create the perfect modern look.
With a lightly textured surface, not unlike orange peel, Indian limestone has a clean modern look to it with neater edges than other paving options. Often used where a smoother finish is required, Indian limestone paving slabs have a more layered and glassy structure, making them strong and durable.
It is available in a consistent thickness of 25mm and comes in mixed packs containing an equal number of four different sizes 600x900mm, 600x600mm 600x290mm and 290x290mm.
The additional thickness of 25mm over the standard 22mm that other less conscientious suppliers offer, really does provide the additional strength need for a more successful installation.
