Description
Rainbow Sawn Sandstone is the boldest of all our paving products, with intense swirls and veins of bright purple and orange. It will really create a dramatic feature within any garden. Each slab is completely individual and when blended over a larger area can make a spectacular feature. It is smoothly sawn on all six sides to give a crisp and clean feel whilst remaining firm and secure underfoot. Rainbow Sawn Sandstone can have occasional pitting and small holes in the surface of the stone, this is a characteristic of the stone and not a fault with the product.
Natural Stone and Timber Ltd was the first company to start importing Rainbow Sandstone into the UK market back in 2009, and we have sold over 150,000 sqm of this product over those years and we still continue to be a leading innovator in the UK paving market.
Sawn sandstone paving is available in a consistent thickness of 22mm and comes in mixed packs containing an equal number of four varied sizes 600x900mm, 600x600mm 600x290mm and 290x290mm.
Indian sandstone has become the most popular and widely used paving within the UK market and here are a few reasons why.
- Hard wearing and easy to maintain once sealed
- Each slab has unique qualities and patination
- Smooth sawn and naturally beautiful
- Superb quality at an extremely affordable price
Do not use acidic cleaners on natural stone as they can cause permanent, irreparable, damage to the colour and structure of the stone.
For ease of installation we recommend laying this product in random courses, if you are laying in a random pattern adjustments will be needed to keep the jointing running straight and true.
When sealing Sawn sandstone paving always do a test patch on a waste piece of material before sealing the whole paving area, this will ensure you are happy with the finish of the sealant before commencing full application.
The shade of the final product will differ compared to the sample you may receive or the images shown on this website, all sandstone paving products have a very large natural colour variation within and between different batches. You must ensure that you are happy with the colour variation of the product you have received before you start laying, as after installation exchange will no longer be possible.
Ensure that you have all the required material to completely the whole project onsite before commencing any work. Open all your crates at the same time, taking material evenly from each of them. This will ensure you have a good distribution of colours across the whole paved area. DO NOT open one crate at a time using all the material before opening the next, this can result in uneven distribution of colours and can look unsightly.
We recommend that all customers read our product selection, maintenance & installation guides before purchasing.
